AITA for parking in my own driveway to block someone who parked there for a party?

Friday night, I found someone had parked in my driveway for a party on our block. Unable to tow them without damage, I blocked them in. When asked to move, I refused due to having been drinking.

"I informed them that I had been drinking and would not move my car."

The self-proclaimed parking attendant called the police, who couldn't force me to move as I was legally parked in my driveway and intoxicated. I jokingly told them I'd be on a long weekend bender and they could move my car Tuesday.

🏠 The Aftermath

Despite the confrontation, I stood my ground and remained parked in my driveway. The partygoer had no choice but to wait until I decided to move my car.

As a result of my decision, the tense situation with the party attendees escalated, but ultimately I retained control over my own property.

The aftermath involved the partygoers being inconvenienced by the blocked driveway, while I maintained my position to ensure my safety.

"Sometimes, taking a stand for your own space is necessary—even if it causes inconvenience to others."

The incident highlighted the importance of respecting personal boundaries and the consequences of parking without permission.
